Emails to Students about River Support
Let’s give our students a good start to the year and let them know about River Support and other resources available to them. Here is a sample email:
Hello, everyone.
I wanted to drop you an email letting you know that IRSC has many resources that you might not be utilizing. I know that every semester brings a new set of challenges. If you are struggling, please look at our list of resources on the RiverSupport website: https://ssp-prod.irsc.edu/ssp/MyGPS/index.html?returnUrl=/webapps/portal/execute/tabs/tabAction?tab_tab_group_id=_1_1&tabId=_1_1&forwardUrl=index.jsp . You can also find this website from your Blackboard classroom as a link on the left hand side. Many of these resources are available to you for free. For example, did you know as an IRSC student you could pick up free food from our Pioneer Pantry at Main Campus? Or, that you can get free tutoring online through our ASC (https://irsc.formstack.com/forms/asc_us) or SmartThinking service (http://www.irsc.edu/smarthinking/smarthinking.aspx?id=4294976311) ? You can even turn in essays for assistance as long as you give them 48 hours!
Just remember that I can’t help you unless you communicate with me. Call me at _____________. Email me at ______________.
Happy learning!
