Greetings from the Florida College English Association!

We are hosting our upcoming conference in Tampa, Florida in October. Will you please share the following information with your English department including full-time faculty and adjuncts?

Thank you!

****************************************************

Greetings!

The Florida College English Association invites your submission for our annual conference held in Ybor City on October 18-20. The conference theme this year is “Coming to America (and Florida): the Literature of Immigration,” but we welcome submissions on all topics of English and its related fields. The keynote speaker will be Philip Diederich, author of Playing for the Devil's Fire (2016) and Sofrito (2015).

To submit your paper or panel proposal, send an email with your contact information and a one-paragraph description of your presentation to fceaconference@gmail.com. The submission deadline in September 7, but we welcome earlier submissions. Unfortunately, our website has been experiencing some technical difficulties, so, if you have any questions, please contact the conference coordinator, Donald Pharr, at  dpharr16@gmail.com or (863)838-8638.

Hillsborough Community College’s Ybor campus will be hosting the conference panels and events next door to this year’s accommodations at the Hilton Garden Inn in the Tampa/Ybor Historic District. To book your room and lock in the specially-priced FCEA rate, call (813)769-9267.

We hope you can join us this year for scholarship and fellowship in English at the FCEA 2018 conference.

All best,
Chrissy
